Our most popular reed, designed for professional players and high school students. Cane is slightly thicker. I spend more time adjusting, tuning, and testing these reeds.

This is our "ensemble" reed, the tone color is dark, and easily blends within a wind ensemble or orchestra. Plastic resin or epoxy/glue is used instead of thread for wrapping. Reed shape is a DB 2 - newly designed in-house, essentially a modified Fox 3 (wider shape).

All new reed orders have a wait time of 4-5 weeks minimum but can vary depending on the quantity ordered.

If you're preparing solos, etudes, recording, or playing more demanding pieces, we recommend the Professional Thread Wrapped reed instead.
